1st Entrepreneur Speaker Series Event of the Year
Recently, we held the first Entrepreneur Speaker Series event of the 2020/21 academic year. Mike Panesis, Executive Director of our Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, welcomed Cara Armstrong, founder ofBaby Barista, who shared her fascinating and inspiring journey with students and community members. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2011 at a tiny kitchen in the middle of the night while struggling to feed her infant daughter. As an emergency nurse, she had seen many injuries associated with formula feeding – from thermal burns to electrolyte imbalances to seizures, and so the Baby Barista, a coffee-machine-like formula maker was born.
