Interim Assistant VP of University Marketing
With a background in interactive design, digital marketing, and analytics, Erik guides the evolution of Cal Lutheran's digital presence and champions the work of the University Marketing team. When not pursuing his other passions of photography and music recording, you'll almost certainly find him hiking the Conejo Valley's beautiful landscapes with his family or rewatching The West Wing.
Director of Advancement Marketing
Emily provides strategic solutions to help her Advancement clients achieve their fundraising goals, drawing on years of higher-ed marketing experience and her MBA from Pepperdine University. In between juggling life with two active toddlers, who are only 14 months apart, Emily and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking and wine tasting. Emily also has a passion for throwing amazing parties, which allows her to put her 10+ years of event planning experience to good use.
Associate Creative Director
Sherri enthusiastically combines her experience with 2D and 3D design approaches to create thoughtful and cohesive graphic solutions that define Cal Lutheran’s sense of place and space through print, digital, environmentals, video and photography. Her extensive 20 year background as a designer, art director and manager affords her a unique perspective in managing her creative team. When not observing and contemplating how the human psyche affects design decisions, Sherri relaxes by baking and exploring California’s central coast with her family.
Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing
Ever since he experienced how much consumer behavior could be influenced by effective marketing strategy, Kevin was hooked (like, obsessed). Focused on marketing our undergraduate programs, he believes trust in marketers should be earned, not given. And he enjoys being a lifelong learner in working with the continuously changing higher ed marketplace. When he’s not checking the performance of a campaign, he’s following one of his favorite pro sports teams – the Eagles, Lakers, and Dodgers.
A former web designer turned project manager, Alisa specializes in bringing order to chaos. She works behind the scenes to manage incoming work requests and project timelines, while occasionally dusting off her other skills to pitch-hit for strategy and digital marketing. She sends half of her paycheck to Amazon in exchange for books and the rest is spent exploring the world.
Patty joined Cal Lutheran in 2012 after a career that began in broadcast journalism followed by public relations and marketing roles in a broad range of industries. As Content Specialist, she develops concepts, writes and proofreads material for the university’s web, print and social media initiatives. When not in pursuit of the perfect word or an intriguing subject line, Patty re-energizes through road trip adventures, enhancing her lifelong collection of concert ticket stubs, creative home décor projects and improvisational cooking.
Graduate Marketing Manager
Nadia oversees marketing for the four graduate schools, working on all elements related to bringing in new prospective students via the creation of digital and print ads, various collateral, direct mail and email to support graduate enrollment goals. Her daily ritual begins before dawn when she goes to fitness boot camp to help keep her level-headed with a positive and enthusiastic demeanor throughout the day.
As Video Producer, Michael brings a unique skillset to the creative team, using his experience in the entertainment industry and contracting work to create digital media that appeals to multiple audiences in higher education. He is a self-proclaimed jetsetter with time to spare for camping in the backcountry or asking Alexa to Wikipedia new destinations.
Enrollment Marketing Coordinator
Scott oversees the front-end design and development of CalLutheran.edu and related websites in addition to providing website support to the campus community. He is always learning about ways to build a better website to improve both usability and performance. He has spent time in many National Parks and loves hiking, podcasts, Formula 1 racing, and his pug Darla.
With over a decade of marketing experience both in higher education and the private sector, Luke is used to wearing multiple hats - which comes in handy for his responsibilities of overseeing Cal Lutheran's Master Brand advertising, managing branding and licensing compliance, and coordinating all non-academic and non-advancement projects. Luke survives on a steady diet of craft coffee, fiction novels, and Dodgers baseball.
After three years of internship at University Marketing, Jee is now a full-time designer here at Cal Lutheran and making her creative marks all around the campus. She strives to create designs that are both informative and inspiring. Her favorite things are beautiful typography, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and golden retrievers.
Enrollment Marketing Analyst
Christine’s primary focus is to support enrollment marketing initiatives while managing undergraduate and enrollment-related data and marketing campaigns. Christine has always been a data analyst and before she joined California Lutheran University, she worked at both Move, Inc., and Amgen. While she isn't working with data, Christine enjoys camping trips and old school board games with her husband and 15-year old son, and the family’s favorite place to visit is Kauai, Hawaii for snorkeling, zip lining, and kayaking.
Monica Baugh's official title is Marketing Assistant, but what she's really about is making sure you have what you need to do your job well. Need to know your budget? Need to schedule a last-minute meeting? Need lunch catered for a crowd, tomorrow? She will get it done with a smile. When she's not at work, she is busy relishing being the mother of her daughter, Charlotte. If she is not with Charlotte, Monica can usually be found cooking, taking photos of said food, or watching Netflix. Or Star Wars. Or Lord of the Rings. You get the idea!
