French

Minor

Go international.

Expand your career options by advancing your knowledge of French. Compete in today’s global economy and gain insight into the many facets of French and francophone cultures.

What you’ll study

You’ll increase your French language proficiency, with two literature courses and a course in conversation and composition. You can also take courses abroad with one of Cal Lutheran’s international programs in France or a French-speaking location — a unique opportunity to enrich your language skills and to immerse yourself in the culture.

My future aspiration is to study law. If I decide to study and practice international law, French will be invaluable, as it is an important language in the United Nations and the world today. It will give me a unique edge to other law students.
