The Tournees Festival

At the port of Sète, Mr. Slimani drags himself toward a shipyard job that has become more and more difficult to cope with. A divorced father who forces himself to stay close to his family despite the scissions and tensions made even more intense by financial difficulties, he wants to escape from it all and start his own restaurant. His family gradually supports him in this project which comes to symbolize the means to a better life.

Admission is free. All films are subtitled in English. The Tournèes Festival: French Films on the CLU Campus was made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC). The festival is sponsored by the Florence Gould Foundation, the Grand Marnier Foundation, highbrow entertainment, agnès b., and the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
