The Tournees Festival: Azur et Asmar

This animated film tracing the story of two boys – Azur (blond, blue-eyed and white-skinned) and Asmar (black-haired, brown-eyed, dark-skinned) – is a formidable fairy tale, an incredibly unique work of art whose visual beauty was hailed as a film of the year. Having garnered striking reviews from the Cannes Film Festival, Azur et Asmar has been compared to classics like Persepolis and The Triplets of Belleville.

Admision is free. All films are subtitled in English. The Tournées Festival: French Films on the CLU Campus was made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC). The festival is sponsored by the Florence Gould Foundation, the Grand Marnier Foundation, highbrow entertainment, agnès b., and the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
