Noah benShea is the international best-selling author of 22 books translated into 18 languages, including the famed Jacob the Baker series embraced by millions around the world. One of North America’s most respected and beloved poet-philosophers, benShea is the subject of a 2009 PBS special airing in 150 cities across the United States. His inspirational messages, life-changing stories, and sage humor offer a practical and commonsense approach to embracing greatness in one’s life.
An inspirational public speaker for 35 years, benShea has lectured at hundreds of universities and given countless keynote addresses including at the Library of Congress. His work has been incorporated in publications of the Congressional Record, Oxford University and the World Bible Society in Jerusalem. In 2005, honoring his father’s heroic struggle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease, benShea accepted the title of National Laureate for the ALS Association.
Admission is free, but reservations are requested. The annual Michael A. Moffitt Educational Leadership Lecture Series, made possible by Karla Lysdal-Moffitt, was established by the CLU School of Education in memory of educator Michael A. Moffitt, who was passionate about teaching and exploring the great outdoors.
