Amazing Grace
Producer Ken Wales will present an insightful look into the film Amazing Grace and the injustice of slavery, reform and the return to civility so important to the making of this film. The early release date of the film in 2007 coincided with the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in Great Britain. The movie is based on the true story of William Wilberforce, a British statesman and reformer from the early part of the 19th century. Wales will introduce the film at 7 p.m. and lead a Q & A following the screening. Admission is free.
An open forum to discuss the themes of the film will be held at 10 a.m. in Nygreen 1.
