Jambo! New Life Band

The concert will feature the extraordinary range of musical talent of the New Life Band. The nonprofit ministry from Tanzania will present traditional and contemporary gospel music featuring African drum rhythms, close harmonies, and modern western style instruments with an African flare.

Over the past 25 years, New Life Band has developed an active and vibrant ministry to teenagers in Tanzania through school visitations, national youth camps and conferences, outdoor Christian rallies, concerts and performances, and one-on-one counseling and guidance. Their ministry has been deeply committed to helping youth who are affected by poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, and a lack of direction for their lives.

Following their tour of the Midwest and California, the band members will return to their homes in Arusha and begin construction on a Secondary School and Vocational Training Center. When the school is completed, it will accommodate approximately 450 students.
