Recently, we had another female founder as a guest speaker in our Entrepreneur Speaker Series - Haley Pavone, CEO ofPashion, a footwear company built around women's shoes with collapsible heels. Haley started the company as a sophomore in college. Haley started her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur after removing her painful high heels and dancing barefoot only to be impaled in the foot by another girl’s stiletto heel. Moderated by Mike Panesis (Executive Director, Center for Entrepreneurship), Haley took a great audience of students, faculty, and community members through all the - sometimes exhilarating, sometimes painful - phases of early stage ventures.
