Branded Products & Approved Vendors

Items or apparel bearing the university's trademarks (including "California Lutheran University," "Cal Lutheran," and our team names, our logos and Spirit Marks) must be purchased from a licensed vendor. The process for placing an order is outlined below.

Please note that only Cal Lutheran offices, departments, and programs are eligible to order items bearing the Cal Lutheran logo or Spirit Mark. Exceptions for current and incoming students and alumni are granted on a case by case basis. Please refer all requests to licensing@CalLutheran.edu.

The Process

1. Select a licensed vendor from the lists below.

   Using a licensed vendor is important because they're required to meet certain insurance and production compliance standards and will always submit the product design to us for approval.

2. Reach out directly to your selected vendor to choose your product, get a quote, and confirm your design.

   While all licensed vendors have access to the Cal Lutheran primary and spirit logo files, you'll probably need to provide your departmental lockup artwork if applicable.
   
   Email licensing@CalLutheran.edu if you need assistance with your departmental lockup artwork, or would like input on your product design. You can also submit a Marketing Design Request for help creating custom designs.

3. After you approve the vendor's proof and complete your order, the vendor will submit the design directly to Marketing and Communications for approval.

   If we approve the design, your vendor will produce and ship your products. If we ask for changes, your vendor should send the revised design to you for final approval before moving forward.

Don't see your preferred vendor?

All vendors must be licensed. If you don't see your preferred vendor on these lists, please contact licensing@CalLutheran.edu to inquire if they are licensed.

If a vendor is not a licensee, but is already in registered with Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), then they just need to submit a request to add us. If they are not already registered as a licensee with CLC, then they will need to submit a request to get licensed and there may be a fee for them. 

Unlicensed Vendors

There are numerous vendors which are of good quality, but which are not licensed at present. For internal orders, we have not asked these companies to cease business with our campus, but we do ask that all designs be referred to marketing@CalLutheran.edu for approval before you order.
