GAME MATCHUP SCORE DESCRIPTION
Championship #1 Shotguns N' Gbs vs #2 FTH 8-6 A (somewhat) full strength matchup between the two top teams finally happened, and of course it was only right to be in the championship game. It was Northwest Mississippi Community College vs East Mississippi Community College. One team had players with a ton of former football experience, and well, the other was just as good without ex-football players. In the end, Ana Cordoba made the difference with a first half pick-six off of Casey Cole. FTH tried to fight back at the end with a long bomb from David Claiborne to Kellen Birdsall, but a failed conversion ended their hopes. Congrats Shotguns N' Gbs, we knew it was you guys all along!
Semi-Final #1 #1 Shotguns N' Gbs vs #4 Peaked in High School 24-0 Of course, #4 Peaked in High School thought it would be appropriate to play their worst game against #1 Shotguns N' Gbs in the playoffs. I can't really blame you there, the whole team is 6'7" and up! Also, thanks for going full send with the purple uniforms and the purple/yellow eye black. Every league needs a last place team like that. *See the Spring 2016 Giraffes IM Basketball team. The #1 seed cruised to a semi-final victory to face #2 FTH in the league final, behind a strong team outing.
Semi-Final #2 #2 FTH vs #3 Big Baller Brand 24-20 This game was a lot closer than everyone originally thought. It had everything you'd ever want, David Claiborne mixing defenders left and right, a Joey Savala one-handed interception, failed trick plays, some officiating controversy, and the greatest end of the game play since Auburn beat Alabama on the kick-six. Great effort from #3 BBB, but #2 FTH won in a shootout and advanced to the league final.
RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 Shotguns N' Gbs 6-1 Evan Schultz, do you have any more lanky friends to bring on your team? If so, please bring them on Sunday. If they haven't played a single game especially, have them come out and play! Maybe even bring a few guys that don't even go to CLU and have them play under another person's name.
2 FTH 5-2 What a comeback. 3 picks, and 2 pick 6s in the last 5 minutes for Wes Thompson. The question for this week will be, "Which members of FTH will be showing up?". Easily the team with the most talent in the league, but playing 7 on 5 won't cut it against #3 BBB.
3 Big Baller Brand 3-4 Sure you lost 31 to 0, but it could have been way worse. It could have been 32 to 0, 33 to 0, heck even 36 to 0, but hey you held them to 31 and that's what matters. A few less batted balls for TDs and dropped interceptions, and it easily could have been 31-6. BBB will look to knock off #2 FTH in the first round on Sunday.
4 Peaked in High School 1-6 Peaked in High School... it was 7 on 5, and they had ONE girl. Anyways, it is the long awaited rematch between Peaked and #1 Shotguns N'Gbs. Oddly enough, Peaked has played the top team in the league the closest out of all the teams. Do the rest of the league (mostly just BBB) a big favor and pull off a first round upset.
RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 Shotguns N' Gbs 5-1 I'm never one to toot my own horn, especially when it comes to writing the power rankings, but I'm pretty sure I called this upset in last week's edition of power rankings. Just be sure to take it easy this time around against BBB.
2 FTH 4-2 I'm still not convinced that you weren't going to forfeit Sunday morning, but hey, anything for a W. Looks like we'll have to wait til playoffs to see a FTH-BBB rematch.
3 Big Baller Brand 3-3 Whoever your team captain is needs to take a long look in the mirror because he cost you all an easy win vs FTH. BBB will go for the upset against #1 Shotguns N' Gbs and just try to put some points on the board in the rematch.
4 Peaked in High School 1-5 Congrats on getting your first win, but just know there will be an asterisk next to your first W. This may mean a late season push however, and the all important avoidance of Shotguns N' Gbs in the first round.
RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 Shotguns N' Gbs 5-0 Ok we get it guys, you are ridiculously good. I guess we officially have the Alabama of the football league. So then I guess we officially have a 2013 Auburn team in Peaked in High School because I will bet my entire 1 hour Sunday paycheck that Shotguns N' Gbs will take an L to the worst team in the league.
2 Big Baller Brand 3-2 Think of the last great football finish you've seen.. Was it the Kick Six? The Patriots SB win? 2016 Michigan-Michigan State? Whatever your answer is, BBB might have topped it against Peaked in High School. Shouts out to Joey Savala for coming down with the game winner with 6 seconds left!
3 FTH 3-2 Ok listen guys, you might think you got moved down to #3 because apparently someone from BBB is writing the power rankings, but in reality, playing 2 on 5 week to week isn't gonna work out... AND someone from BBB is definitely writing the power rankings.
4 Peaked in High School 0-5 What a game, what a finish. Only problem is that Peaked in High School was on the losing end of things. If it makes you guys feel any better, UNLV lost to Howard this past year, Michigan lost at home to Appalachian State in 2007, and the Raiders are just terrible this year.
RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 Shotguns N' Gbs 4-0 You know, they always say the real key to having a championship flag football team is having the tallest, lankiest players in the league. So congrats Evan for just happening to be friends with the lankiest people at the school. Let's see if lankiness will defeat ex-football players on Sunday.
2 FTH 3-1 Alright guys, impressive win playing 5 on 7. You can be referred to EMCC again if you beat Shotguns N'Gbs on Sunday. Just start telling your team about the game now so you'll actually have a full squad. No more asterisk games, Casey Cole, no more.
3 Big Baller Brand 2-2 Sunday just did not go the Big Baller way. It was the windiest day of the season, there was a last second venue change, the game started way later than it was supposed to... The list goes on. The bottom line is that Shotguns N'Gbs wouldn't have even come close to BBB if it weren't for all these weird occurrences.
4 Peaked in High School 0-4 The bad news? PIHS lost to FTH playing 7 on 5. The good news? They get to play BBB this upcoming Sunday in the latest edition of the Sacko Bowl. More good news? Derek Carr and the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football.

1 Shotguns N' Gbs 3-0

Move the games back an hour, and Shotguns N'Gbs immediately becomes the #1 seed in the power rankings. On their first offensive drive, new QB Matt Jorgensen had his shirt ripped by a defender, and after that, I couldn't tell if that was Jorgy or Andy Dalton out there. After the bye, they will face BBB and hope that they won't be annihilated like FTH was.

2 Big Baller Brand 2-1

BIG. BALLER. BRAND. First you get mercy ruled by FTH, and then two weeks later you utterly obliterate them 21-18? Wow. Star QB Josh Cruz, give yourself a hand, dinner's on me. Maybe the difference was that he got everyone involved. Maybe it was because Rylie Wada and Jenna Henderson decided not to show up. Either way, BBB was ballin.

3 FTH 2-1

I heard that last weekend was supposed to be a dead weekend at the Lu. Looks like most of the FTH players must have found something to do Saturday night as they got absolutely throttled by Big Baller Brand and their QB Josh Cruz on Sunday morning. FTH will play #4 Peaked in High School in their next game in what we'll call "The Sacko Bowl" for now. We'll see if they earn the right to be referred to as EMCC in the next power rankings.

4 Peaked in High School 0-3

Don't worry guys, in just two short weeks, you'll get to play a team not named Shotguns N'Gbs. I think that's the main problem. Not that your offense hasn't moved the ball much, or your defense is susceptible to the long ball, or that you haven't really figured out the open/closed play strategies, but the fact that you keep playing Shotguns N'Gbs..

RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 FTH 2-0

FTH aka EMCC plays #3 Big Baller Brand this week in a heated rematch. I kid you not, last night I walked into one of their player's rooms and they were talking about how they were gonna run it up on BBB and that Casey Cole was gonna drop 5 tugs again. My verbatim response: "Yeah, probably".

2 Shotguns N' Gbs 2-0

If I had to put money on it, I'd say Shotguns N' Gbs was the happiest out of our four remaining teams that they didn't have to wake up early and play some football after Saturday night. Well good news guys, there aren't anymore 10 o'clock games this season.

3 Big Baller Brand 1-1

Big Baller Brand got their first win the big baller way ... By forfeit because #4 Peaked in High School all decided to go home that weekend. Can they use this momentum for a W when they face #1 FTH/EMCC this week? Probably not.

4 Peaked in High School 0-2

Peaked in High School found out that they were going to face Big Baller Brand this week. What was their response? Have three players show up and have the rest go home. Hopefully they show up on Sunday to get some revenge on #2 Shotguns N' Gbs.

RANK TEAM NAME RECORD DESCRIPTION
1 FTH 1-0

It was nice that East Mississippi Community College decided to come and play IM football on Sunday. If you haven’t figured the joke out, it’s because FTH is loaded with ex football players. And if you still don’t get it, I suggest you watch Last Chance U. Casey Cole lit up the BBB defense for 5 touchdowns, hitting his favorite target Kellen Birdsall for 3 TDs. We’ll see if EMCC can keep their act together all year so they can finally play in a championship game.

2 Shotguns N' Gbs 1-0

I’m just as shocked as you all are that Shotguns N’ Gbs showed up to a 10 AM game, but turns out they can actually ball. Turner McDonald showed he can win a few games this year at QB scoring on the ground and through the air. Will they show up for all their games? I couldn’t tell you, but are they an entertaining team? Yeah, sure.

3 Peaked in High School 0-1

Although their offense may have peaked in high school, their defense actually looked pretty stout. Will they continue to put the whole team on the line to protect their QB Jordan Wiley? Is having 20 people on your team a good strategy? Will they defeat Big Baller Brand? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z.

4 Big Baller Brand 0-1

I’m not gonna lie to you guys.. This one was rough. First game nerves must have gotten to Pre-Season Heisman Favorite QB Josh Cruz. The good news is that BBB will finally get their actual Heisman candidate QB back in Matt Pham this week. Look out Peaked in HS 👀.

5a Splash Gang 0-0 Splash Gang and Cal Lit decided it would be best if they both took a bye week this time around. We'll get our first taste of them both this week.
5b Cal Lit 0-0 *See Splash Gang
