Arrival on Campus

When to Arrive

International Student Orientation will be held prior to the start of classes. Please plan to arrive on campus based on the schedule provided to you by the Study Abroad Center. If you arrive any earlier, you will need to make your own hotel arrangements.

Arrival Information

  1. Flight Itineraries
Students will be given an arrival window and asked to book their flights accordingly.  Flight itineraries should be sent to once booked.
  2. Transportation to campus
The Study Abroad Center will arrange for two shuttle pickups from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Thousand Oaks on the scheduled day of arrival.

If arriving outside of the arrival window, please keep in mind that a taxi is very expensive (more than $100). It is recommended that you take a shuttle/van instead (approximately $50, plus tip), such as Road Runner Shuttle. View additional transportation options.
  3. Housing check-in
Upon arrival to campus, students will be greeted by the Study Abroad Center and visit the Residence Life Office to check-in to housing, sign housing contract, and obtain room assignment and key.

Residence Life is open between 8am - 5pm and is located in Mt Clef Hall, at the corner of Mount Clef Blvd and Memorial Parkway (view on campus map).
  4. After hours check-in
If your flight is delayed and you arrive to campus after 5pm, please go to Campus Safety so they can take you to your Residence Hall. Campus Safety is located at the southwest corner of Olsen Road and Mount Clef Blvd (view on campus map) (805) 493-3526.

If possible, please give advance notice of your late arrival to Study Abroad by calling (805) 493-3750 or emailing
