by George C. Wolfe

Mainstage Production: The Colored Museum

A play in 11 vignettes presented as if they were exhibits in a museum of African-American history, The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe satirizes the black experience in America. Still timely, the controversial comedy from 1986 skewers exaggerated images of and extreme stereotypes about African-American life. Saundra McClain directs.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 7 through 10, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Presented in celebration of Black History Month.

Admission is $10; free with CLU ID.
