So You Wanna Be a Dungeon Master?

Step into the world of tabletop role-playing games and learn how to craft inclusive, dynamic campaigns with award-winning dungeon master Pastiche Queen. During three days at Nerd Fest, you’ll explore systems from D&D 5E to Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green, master character creation, voices and movement, and dive into immersive world-building, story hooks and campaign design.

With hands-on exercises, improvisation games and daily LivePlay demos, you’ll discover how to:

• Run exciting combat, skill and sanity mechanics
• Build rich towns, regions and worlds from the ground up
• Create memorable characters and use voice and movement to bring them to life
• Develop compelling story hooks and expand them into full campaigns
• Understand genre expectations, big bad evil guys/gals and how to subvert them
• Set your players up for success and keep everyone engaged
