  • Staff and Faculty Lunch, Wed., Apr. 17, 11am - 1pm, reserved area in the UPSTAIRS Ullman Dining Commons. The discounted price of $8 + tax includes all menu options offered in the Dining Commons.
     
  • University Chapel, Thurs., Apr. 18, 11:25am Samuelson Chapel. Inspiration Awards will be given out.
     
  • Center for Teaching and Learning's Lunch Series, Thurs., Apr. 18, 12:15-1:00pm, Hum 105. Henri Mondschein (Library) and Mary Jo Shane (School of Management) will be speaking on "Collaborative Work with International Students."   • Good Friday Holiday, Apr. 19 - No PLTS or CLU semester classes. Most administrative offices closed. CLU classes resume at 4pm on Mon., Apr. 22.
     
  • Power outage – On Good Friday, Apr. 19, Facilities will perform major maintenance to portions of the south campus and north campus electrical grids.    
    • South campus maintenance: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • North campus: in the afternoon.
    • Building occupants are asked to turn off all lights and electronic devices prior to leaving for the holiday on Thursday, April 18. Food items left in refrigerators should be fine if doors are left closed. Look for an email with additional outage information, or contact Ryan Van Ommeren at rvommere@callutheran.edu.

  • Jodie Kocur (Psychology) has been named the Associate Director of the First Year Experience Program. She has been involved with the FYE seminar since 2009 and is passionate about supporting and mentoring students during their transition to college and throughout this significant life stage.

  • Faculty are invited to nominate colleagues for the Provost's Distinguished Scholar Award. Click here for criteria and the nomination form. FADC will be updating the review process to reflect structural changes in the College of Arts and Sciences.

  • Honors Convocation, Tues., Apr. 30, 11:15am, Samuelson Chapel.  We will be on Convocation Schedule with classes ending at 11:00am and resuming at 12:40pm. Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, Dr. Tracy M. Downs '88, will give the keynote address (click here to view bio), faculty receiving promotion and/or tenure in Fall 2019 will be recognized, and the President's Award for Teaching Excellence recipient will be announced. Please note: In order to highlight the importance of our faculty at this prestigious academic event, regalia will be worn and faculty will meet at Gumby at 11:00am to process.

  • Grant writing workshops (Please note date change): The Office of Sponsored Research and Projects is presenting a grant writing series for faculty and staff. The next workshop is titled "Cha-Ching! Writing a Winning Proposal" and will be held on Tues., Apr. 23, 2-3pm, in Peters 103 (not April 16 as previously scheduled). Click here to register.
