Exchange students do not pay tuition to Cal Lutheran, but are responsible for all other expenses and fees and are required to live on-campus.

Fees Due to Cal Lutheran Prior to Arrival

  • Housing deposit: $400. This is a refundable housing deposit and will be returned, less any damage assessments, at completion of residency and fulfillment of contract.

Fees Due to Cal Lutheran on Arrival

All fees are subject to change without notice. The University reserves the right to change, delete or add to this pricing schedule as deemed appropriate.

  • Campus Housing: $6,470 per semester. Incoming International Exchange Students are placed in our Global Leaders Community at Kramer Court.  
  • Meal plan: $3,300-$3,558 per semester
  • International Student Health Insurance Fee: 
    • $864 for Fall semester
    • $1,056 for Spring semester
  • Student Wellness Fee: $125 per semester
  • ASCLU Fee (student activity): $140 per semester
  • Technology Fee: $140 per semester
  • BookPass Program Fee: $210 per semester

Other Expenses

  • Personal expenses, supplies, and travel costs: approximately $2,300 per semester
