MPPA Policy Brown Bag Series: Book Talk

Policy Brown Bag is a monthly series hosted by the Masters of Public Policy & Administration program at California Lutheran University. This month we are hosting Dr. Jake Keyel, Assistant Professor at Rowan University for a discussion on his new book: Care over Cruelty.

Join us for a presentation and discussion on the moral and practical imperatives of refugee resettlement. Drawing from his new book, this session will explore how increasing refugee resettlement in the US serves as a critical first step toward ameliorating harm. We will discuss the tangible needs of arriving refugees: housing, healthcare, education, and food; and how Americans can engage in "caring practices" to meet these needs and build meaningful relationships.
