Boulderdash is an indoor rock climbing gym designed to test all levels of rock climbers. Boulderdash is a great place to begin learning in a safe environment. For seasoned and adventurous climbers, Boulderdash regularly rotates their routes to enhance the thrill of each visit. With two locations near campus--Thousand Oaks and Ventura--it couldn't be easier to start climbing!

Point Mugu Rock

Location: 799 Pacific Coast Hwy, NAS Point Mugu, CA 93042

Distance from campus: 25 Miles

For decades, Point Mugu has been the spot for area climbers to learn basic crack climbing technique. One little boulder along the highway is simply famous among Ventura County climbers. Come prepared with a crash pad and a friend for safety and support as you test the 49-foot high boulder. Extraordinary sunsets and beautiful marine life add to the appeal. Popular with travelers along PCH as well as with the locals, you can expect to share the site with other climbers.

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree welcomes climbers, boulderers and highliners from around the world. This high desert monzogranite climbing mecca is famous for its traditional-style crack, slab, and steep face climbing. Joshua Tree offers challenges for all ability levels with more than 8,000 climbing routes, 2,000 boulder problems, and hundreds of natural gaps to choose from.
