Principles of Excellence

On April 27, 2012, the President signed Executive Order 13607, Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and Other Family Members. The published Executive Order is available here. This Executive Order addresses key areas relating to Federal military and veterans educational benefits programs.

California Lutheran University's support for veterans is some of the best work we do as a community, and we are proud to be a voluntary participant in the Principles of Excellence program. End fraudulent and aggressive recruiting techniques and misreppresentations.

Cal Lutheran does not, and has never, conducted fraudulent or aggressive recruiting on or off military installations or in any other venue, nor do we misrepresent ourselves, our programs, or our mission. We do not provide any commission, bonus, or other incentive payment based directly or indirectly upon success in securing enrollments or the award of financial aid to any individual or entity engaged in any recruiting or admission activities or in making decisions about awarding FSA program funds. We meet all requirements consistent with those issued by the Department of Education.
