Closing reception
Paul Lucchesi is a figurative sculptor and painter who is inspired by Italian Renaissance and Baroque sculpture. CLU is fortunate to have Lucchesi in residence at the Kwan Fong Gallery this fall. As an extraordinary outcome of the workshop, one of the works he creates will remain at the University. The piece will be cast in bronze and displayed as part of the ongoing sculpture collection within the landscape of the campus.

Richter Hall and Overton Hall
The California Lutheran University Student Research Symposium began in 2004 and serves to showcase the work of CLU's top students. This year, we have a record 23 presentations involving students and faculty from the Biology, Political Science, Chemistry, Sociology, English, Exercise Science, Religion, Bioengineering and Applied Physics, Music, Environmental Science, Business, Biochemistry and Psychology departments. Presentation formats will include 15-minute oral presentations as well as interactive poster presentations.
Join fellow choir alumni for a light breakfast before rehearsal for the Homecoming and Family Weekend Concert.
All former student government representatives and resident assistants are invited to an informal breakfast in Buth Park before the Homecoming Football Game.

Divorce mediation is the process by which a divorcing couple, through the help of a mediator, negotiates the terms of a divorce that is agreeable to both parties. Marriage and Family Therapists are increasingly becoming involved as mediators. In this presentation, Howard Levitt, LMFT, will describe the role of a divorce mediator and review some of the pertinent laws that impact this emerging field.
A refreshing pause in the middle of the week, this brief chapel service is an opportunity for renewal and fellowship. Guest and faculty speakers share their faith. After the service, enjoy fellowship and refreshments. The theme this year is PLANTED. Service begins at 10:10 a.m.

The 2009 Founders Day observance takes on special meaning as California Lutheran University celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding. Keynote speaker for this historic Convocation is CLU President Emeritus Howie Wennes.
Beethoven Extravaganza
The University Symphony will perform an all-Beethoven concert including The Choral Fantasy featuring the CLU Choir. In a special ceremony, CLU music professor emeritus Elmer Ramsey, founder and music director of the Conejo Symphony, will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
Mia Tavonatti
Last year, American artist Mia Tavonatti moved to Italy to unveil her most recent project, Svelata, a monumental series of oil paintings on canvas at the ancient Museo Arsenale in Amalfi.
