Degree Completion Agreements

The DCA process is an audit of a student’s academic record to ensure that the student is on the right path toward graduation and commencement.

The main purpose of the DCA meeting is to identify remaining degree requirements needed for students to graduate. This entails conducting a senior audit, reviewing all courses taken, determining any outstanding graduation requirements, and adhering to the academic policies stated in the University Catalog such as major/core requirements and limitations of credits. Additionally, students who plan to graduate in spring or summer 2021 will have the opportunity to enroll in classes before registration begins and have priority in obtaining commencement tickets.

Degree Completion Agreement (DCA) Timeline for the 2020-2021 school year 

To Do Item Due Date
Submit your application for Degree via Student Planning Priority deadline for filing for May and August 2021 is 10/1/20
Pay the Graduation Fee Fee is $125 until 10/1/20 and $150 if paid after 10/1/20
Make an appointment with your faculty advisor to discuss outstanding requirements needed to earn your degree Email your faculty advisor starting the last week in September
Complete the DCA Electronic Form prior to your advising meeting with your faculty Form available 9/28/20.  If submitted to Academic Services before 11/30/20 students will be added to the advanced commencement ticket list
Ask your faculty advisor to approve the form and give advising clearance Starting 9/28/20
Register for needed courses to graduate (Intersession, Spring, Summer terms available) Starting 9/28/20
