Cargo: Innocence Lost

Michael Cory Davis

Cargo: Innocence Lost

Through his compelling documentary Cargo: Innocence Lost, award-winning director and writer Michael Cory Davis unveils the dark underworld of sex trafficking through hard-hitting interviews with some of the country’s top officials on the subject, victims’ advocates and victims themselves, who were rescued in Texas. The film explores how the business of sex trafficking has become a $9 billion a year industry and why it still remains a shrouded crime in our nation.

Davis is an actor/filmmaker/activist who has been involved in the fight to end modern day slavery since 2003 when he became the Goodwill Ambassador for the organization Face to Face Bulgaria, which works to combat trafficking in that country. He wrote, directed and produced Svetlana’s Journey, a true story about a Bulgarian girl forced into prostitution that won the Hollywood Film Festival for Best Short Subject in 2005.

Davis is continuing a nationwide I Stop Traffic Tour this fall, which focuses on spreading awareness throughout the country. Following screening of the film, he will speak and answer questions from the audience.

Donations to the I Stop Traffic Tour will be accepted.
