Channel Islands Beach: The Policy Issues Behind Creating Ventura County's 11th City

California Lutheran University's MPPA Program, the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce and the Gold Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are proud to co-host a policy panel discussion on an important emerging issue—cessation plans by some Oxnard residents to create the splinter city of “Channel Island Beach.”

Topics Include: Motivations, process, historical context, impacts on services in Oxnard and the newly charted city. How will cessation affect other aspects of life in Oxnard, such as traffic, development, public safety, and governance?
