Biloxi Boomerang

We're going back for a third year!
January 10-18, 2008

Spend nine days working with Habitat for Humanity's Project REHAB. We'll be rebuilding homes in Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina devastated the local communities. Are you joining us for 2008?

We have approximately 40 spaces reserved this year, but they will fill fast!
(Please note that spaces available to faculty/staff/alumni are limited to ensure students can participate.) The cost is $600 and includes: airfare, ground transportation, food and lodging. Bring money for meals in transit and for personal spending.

Trip participants will be doing a variety of reconstruction, including painting, hanging sheetrock, tiling, etc. No previous knowledge is required, but it certainly can help! All abilities are welcome as there are diverse needs on the build sites.

Lifestyle is simple while in the Gulf Coast: clean, comfortable housing (you bring a sleeping bag) with decent meals... and great company!

We ask participants to spend some group time on a nightly basis (maximum one hour).

We will spend some time touring the local communities to see the devastation and the slow progress toward rebuilding—how much has been done and how much still remains.
