Festival of Scholars: Poetry Reading

Festival of Scholars: Poetry Reading

In Honor of National Poetry Month and CLU student publications Morning Glory and The Word, students and faculty will read selections from both publications.

The literary arts magazine Morning Glory, started in 1971 by English professor emeritus J.T. Ledbetter, features poetry, stories, photographs, paintings and multimedia images contributed by students, faculty, staff and alumni. It has received 25 All American Awards from the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP), most recently in 2007, and is a member of the ACP Hall of Fame.

The Multicultural Artistic Journal The Word, first published in spring 2006, features digital photos, paintings, poetry and short stories submitted by CLU students. Historical editions of both publications and other poems by students and faculty will be on display in Pearson Library.

Admission is free.
