CLU History of Psychology Symposium 2008
Students from the History of Psychology course will present their semester projects as part of the fourth annual CLU History of Psychology Symposium Wednesday and Friday. Each presentation lasts one hour.
Wednesday's topics include "Existential Being Revisited: An Analysis of Being And Time and its Implications," "The Life and Accomplishments of Dorothea L. Dix," "Miriam Van Waters: Education as Social Rehabilitation," "The Relationship Between the Zeitgeist and Emil Kraepelin's Classification of Dementia Praecox" and "Dementia Praecox, Schizophrenia, and the Schizophrenogenic Mother: Three Perspectives, One Disease."
Friday's symposia topics include "Carl Jung: A Journey into the Mind and Beyond," "Alfred Adler: Human Personality and Lifestyles Determined by Feelings on Inferiority and Developed Through Child Rearing Practices," "Anna Freud: The Person and Her Contributions" and "Abraham Maslow: A Mission for Humanistic Psychology."
