Remembering Sparky
Please join us for a memorable evening dedicated to George "Sparky" Anderson, featuring:
- Alan Trammell, Detroit Tigers shortstop
- Mike Scioscia, two-time Manager of the Year for the Angels
Sparky was a legendary baseball manager and the first man to manage World Series winners in both leagues. In his retirement years, he lived in Thousand Oaks and developed a close relationship with the CLU baseball team.
Sparky died in November 2010, and CLU is hosting this event to memorialize this special man. Listen to his former players and colleagues talk about Sparky in a comfortable conversation led by CLU President Chris Kimball.
$40 per person. Very limited seating.
Proceeds benefit Sparky's charities of choice: CATCH and the CLU Baseball Program. Pre-payment is required.
