Nordic Spirit Symposium Presents Beowulf

This year’s Nordic Spirit Symposium, “The Nordic Iron Age: Life Before the Vikings,” will begin with a theatrical experience: Beowulf.

John Heimbuch will perform Charlie Bethel’s popular one-man adaptation of Beowulf. This faithful and accessible adaptation of this classic Old English poem about a warrior king and three famous monsters, emphasizes the wit, vigor and meaty language of the original Anglo-Saxon epic. The performance will be approximately one hour long and will be followed by a Q&A session.

This event is free for all Cal Lutheran students, faculty and staff. Please visit the Nordic Spirit Symposium website for the entire schedule and registration. For more information about John Heimbuch, visit his website.
