Breaking the Silence film screening and panel

Join us for a special screening of the powerful documentary Telling Amy’s Story, which recounts the domestic violence and murder of a woman by her husband. The film aims to educate people about domestic violence in relationships and how to stop it. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with community partners working to address domestic and sexual violence.

Food will be provided, and attendees can enter gift raffles for prizes that include gift cards for Jamba Juice, The Habit Starbucks and more.

Earlier on Wednesday, there will be a resource tabling event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on near the Flagpoles. Stop by to learn about community resources and services available to support survivors. Gift raffles and snacks will be available.

The events are sponsored by the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department, the Coalition for Family Harmony and Schannae Lucas’s Family Violence class.
