ASCENSO Scholars Community Gala

Reception begins at 5:30 p.m.

Program begins at 6 p.m.

Please join the Office of the President in celebrating the 2026 Access, Success, Community, Equity, Network-building, Support and Opportunity (ASCENSO) Hispanic Scholars as we highlight their community-engaged research and internships completed over the past summer and fall. Enjoy food, mariachi music and community connection while learning more about the fellows’ projects supporting communities across Ventura County.

The gala will also feature keynote speeches from Teresa Arredondo, CEO of ArtCraft Paint and 2024 Cal Lutheran Commencement Speaker, as well as ASCENSO alumna and Fulbright Scholar Jannesa Garcia ’23.
