The transition to college is one of the biggest steps you will take in life and New Student Orientation has been created to make this transition as stress-free as possible. New Student Orientation is all about you getting settled in a new environment, planning for a year full of academic and social growth, and getting to know new people.

International Seminar

All new international students are required to attend the International Student Seminar held at the beginning of each fall and spring semester or term (for some graduate programs). Information necessary to maintain international student status is presented along with needed information about campus resources, policies, and activities. Please remember to bring all of your travel documents with you to orientation (I-20, I-94, Passport, Visa).

The offices of the Cal Lutheran Annual Fund and Student Life invite new students to participate in starting a new and continuing with an old tradition at Cal Lutheran. Join us in front of the William Rolland Stadium for a special tree dedication honoring the Class of 2020. Afterward, join in on Cal Lutheran’s oldest tradition and hike up to the cross to paint the Cal Lutheran rocks. You do not want to miss out on either of these traditions!

Discover all that the brand new Student Union has to offer during your time at CLU.  Meet new friends, enjoy some refreshments, and play Foosball, Shuffleboard, Xbox One, Nintendo Wii, or any of the board games. The Student Union has lockers you can use, spare chargers, and a lot of meeting space, each equipped with dry erase boards, and a number of TVs. Find out what the Student Union can offer to you! The Student Union is home to your student government, ASCLUG, as well as Student Life, and a number of other offices. There are also 3 vending machines, a kitchenette, and some awesome patio furniture. Oh, and when you come to this event, there will be some time for Pokemon Go too.

Title IX

Sexual assault can be prevented. This session will start the conversation with facts regarding sexual assault and how Cal Lutheran aims to educate all students about campus sexual violence. Campus sexual violence includes stalking, domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault. Cal Lutheran’s programming efforts aim to educate students on awareness, prevention, bystander intervention, resources, and University policies and procedures.
