- Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing.
- Two final grades of A on any course of at least 3 units at the 200 or above level in the same language; or International students born in any non-English speaking country and have two final grades of A in any 3 unit or above English or ESL class.

Requirements
- 18 units of Spanish completed at the university level (upper division level /any university).
- Overall GPA 3.2 and Spanish GPA 3.0.
- Any 300/400 Latin American/Penninsular Literature or Culture course completed.
