CERF Gives 2024 Annual Ventura County Economic Forecast
The CERF broke another record! More than 300 guests attended our Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) for its 2024 Ventura County Economic Forecast at the Scherr Forum / Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. After a welcome by Marni Brook (Women's Economic Ventures and CERF Board Member) and Gerhard Apfelthaler, David Bahnsen highly respected wealth fund manager, author, podcaster and commentator on stations such as MSNBC, CNN and Fox Business delivered a very inspiring keynote. Our own Matthew Fienup's (Executive Director, CERF) delivered another outstanding presentation on the economic outlook for the U.S. and Ventura County, that focused on a few key messages: Economic growth will be anaemic, and a drastic increase in housing supply will be essential for Ventura County. Thanks also go to Dan Hamilton for his excellent work on the forecasting models and to Ashley Freas, Rosie Baker, and Hana Petr for doing a masterful job with the logistics and the promotion of the event.
