Introducing our new MPPA Program Director

Sabith Khan, faculty member, is our new program director for the Masters of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) program. Sabith joined the School of Management in the fall of 2017 as an assistant professor, and has since been one of our most prolific faculty members. Students praise him for his commitment to student learning, and he has had a steady stream of publications. Recently, he has also been asked to join the editorial board for Sage Publication's Business Case series. Last fall, he taught an innovative graduate course (cross-listed with MBA) on "Governance, Business and Technology" and this past summer, Sabith led a group of students on an international research field trip to Ecuador. Supported on the ground by Cal Lutheran alumnus Scott Solberg, founder and CEO of a non-profit institution in Ecuador, they introduced students to the country, sensitized them to issues of small business development, sustainable business practices, as well as the policy and political environment in the country. During the trip, they visited several local business institutions, business associations, coffee farms, the U.S. Embassy, the U. S. Department of Agriculture, USAID, and Peace Corp offices (picture shows Sabith Khan to the right with students and Scott Solberg). Just two weeks ago, Sabith was honored by the Pacific Coast Business Times as one of the "40 under 40" to watch on the Central Coast. We are very glad to have Sabith on the leadership team at the School of Management.
