CERF hosted Annual Ventura County Forecasting Event

Our Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) held its annual Ventura County forecasting event. Opened by President Lori Varlotta and Gerhard Apfelthaler (Dean of the School of Management), the MC of the event was CERF board member Marni Brook, Director of Lending at Women's Economic Ventures. After a commentary on the elections by Dan Walters (CalMatters), Tim Gallagher (President, 20/20 Network) moderated a panel on the pandemic that included Gabrielle Sherman (Chief Medical Officer, Los Robles Hospital), Hani Youssef, EdD (Asst. Superintendent of Educational Services, Simi Valley USD), Gabrielle Moes (Founder & President, Seasons Catering Inc.) and our own Matthew Fienup (Executive Director, CERF) - live and socially distanced from Samuelson Chapel on campus. Dan Hamilton (Director of Economics, CERF and Program Director, MSQE) spoke about demographic changes, and Mathew Fienup provided deep insight into the outlook for the region, California, and the United States.
