Annual Startup Weekend Conejo Valley
Recently Hub101, part of our Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, held its annual Startup Weekend Conejo Valley in cooperation with TechStars. Founders and startup enthusiasts from Austria, Canada, Guam, India, and from across the United States participated under the guidance of experienced mentors, and created impressive startup concepts. Out of the five finalists - CleanBooks4You, LoanSlate, PelicanAirGo, Superlabs, and YouBra, judges Nicolette Rankin (Reinmaker), Joel Balbien (Adjunct Professor, School of Management), and Mark Goldstein (SoCal IP) unanimously selected YouBra as the winner on Sunday evening. Congratulations to the winners and sincere thanks go to Mike Panesis (Executive Director, Center for Entrepreneurship) and Kristin Bell (Community Manager, Hub101) who were praised for their work by all participants, and to facilitator Michael Norton and all the mentors.
